Aged in warehouses on the Malabar Coast, monsoon rains replicate the experience of transport by clipper ship. This process produces a cup with absolutely no acidity, full body and a toasty, biscuity flavor.
This ancient coffee is very complex. Some say the whole history of flavors can be rolled into this origin. Flavors such as cocoa, dried fruit and spice enliven this cup.
Aging coffee reduces acidity, increases body and contributes tasty wood and spice notes. Our Aged Sumatran is roasted a touch darker to emphasize the heavy, syrupy body.
From the Volcan Valley and grown at 5,600 ft., coffee from this farm is bright and sweet with a hint of blackberry.
